The farm animals
The Apagota sheep It 'an original percora Alpago (Belluno) very rustic and frugal, especially suited to grazing in the high mountains. This sheep is located in the park and a few other locations for which it is regarded as an animal in danger of extinction.
Pigs Last arrived at the park, are reared organically. They find the right place at the forest slopes exploiting the natural food provided by the abundant oak acorns and oak.
The Bardigiano horse is an horse suited to the mountain, durable, with strong legs and quiet character of sweet and fiery character. Its origin is very old and is called Bardigiano because it comes from the village of Bardi, in the province of Parma. In the park there are some examples that graze freely.
The common Sicilian donkey This small pet is rustic, frugal and durable. It is an animal used for agricultural work and has ancient origins. At the park there are three copies of it while living free are sociable and pet lovers.
The Pezzata Rossa Friulana cow Is a breed created in 1880 typical of the Friuli area, is easily adapted to different environments, is mild and strong maternal instinct. It 'a versatile breed because it is suitable to produce milk, meat, but also useful as a working animal. It is now extinct, and the few animals are on the Park and in another local farm.
The long-haired Ariete rabbits Are cute bunnies that have been adopted by the Park because abandoned. This breed is considered "pet" but it also adapts well to live outdoors.
Peacock 190/5000 bred not only for the beauty of its plumage also for meat. It is a volatile easy to breed in captivity because its behavior is similar to that of the hens.
Cinciallegra is recognizable by the gray-greenish yellow tops and lower crossed by a longitudinal black stripe and white cheeks, and neck, throat and sides of the neck are glossy black. And 'an insectivorous bird so useful for agriculture and the environment. The park has found its ideal habitat: he has even made its nest in the mailbox!
Nuthatches Has a vibrant plumage, blue-gray on the head, back, wings and tail, the abdomen is orange and white cheeks and throat. The peculiarity of the nuthatch is in climbing (even head downwards) on tree trunks with quick spiral strokes, using the tail. And 'an insectivorous bird that loves to live among the orchards and is useful for the control of insect pests.
The wild boar It is a wild animal, which lives and hides in the woods and that scratched in the park in the evening and at night when it is not observed, while during the day are in shallow holes that you dig in the ground. Their threatening appearance is given by the small tusks they use to find food in the forest, and the shaggy fur that helps him to protect the winter. He likes to roll in the mud (for this often stirs the ground) because it helps to keep the skin protected from pests and promotes healing of small wounds that obtains in the undergrowth.
The roe deer It is a small deer, an animal is shy and reserved so it is difficult to see it, but you can guess its passage by the traces of hoofs or faeces leaves in the woods. Males have small antlers (horns), falling from October to December and sometimes found along the trails.
